In the Year of Our Lord 2026, the Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine gathers around the mystery of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to contemplate His infinite love, make reparation for the sins of the world, and implore the gift of peace, justice, and the spiritual rebirth of our homeland. In the spirit of liturgical veneration of the Savior, whose Heart "is vast and full of greatness" (Preface of the Sacred Heart), we address this solemn letter to you, inviting you to enter together into the mystery of God`s love, which is unfading even in the midst of suffering and war.
Le 16 janvier 2026, au Sanctuaire national de la Mère de Dieu de Berdytchiv en Ukraine, a eu lieu un pèlerinage pour ouvrir l’année dédiée au Très Saint Cœur de Jésus. L’archevêque Mieczysław Mokrzycki, métropolite de Lviv pour l’église catholique romaine a prononcé cette homélie, où il a rappelé le chemin historique de l’Église en Ukraine, l’expérience des persécutions et du renouveau, et a souligné l’importance de la prière, de la conversion et de la confiance en Dieu dans le contexte de la guerre. « Dans le Cœur de Jésus se trouve le salut du monde. »
